Hepatitis

A week ago my colleague's wife presented to Emergency Department with a history of recurrent epigastric pain. She has no illness in the past. On further questioning she told that she has been taking "herbs" from a shop for post partum wellness. The abdominal ultrasound didn't reveal gall stone or its' complication. We were shocked to find out that her liver enzymes were significantly raised (>1000mIU). I advised her to take a lot of RO water to wash the toxins and suggested Dr Xeniji.I recalled of my late chronic hepatitis C patient who survived for 3 years with normal life after taking it (At once he was extremely tachypneic with Upper GIT bleeding due to esophageal varices and he was grossly oedematous all over from fluid retention-the treating Dr told that he will possibly die within a few days). 4 days after taken Dr Xeniji, her liver enzyme has dropped to 100! No more epigastric pain, alhamdulillah. Herbs are good but unfortunately not many of us look for its' clinical research before consuming it. To date, most herbs contain hundreds of toxins which have to be purified during the production.
As for my colleague's case, trully when he rechecked the product box and bottle, there was no approval code from the Ministry of Health and this is the 3rd time his wife has been taking it! If u remember once upon a time there was a Singaporian Celebrity who ended up with liver transplant after drug induced hepatitis which has destroyed her liver. My friend's wife is considered lucky not ending up with that serious option!
