Idiopathic Thrombocytopaenic Purpura (ITP)

Today I want to share an interesting testimony. My Assistant Medical Officer working in Emergency Department was warded a week ago because he was in shock with high grade temperature, systolic BP of 70, tachycardic and very low platelet count (30,000). The normal value is between 150,000-400,000. He was extremely weak and his condition was ill.
Petechiae (bleeding beneath the skin is the usual presentation of ITP
I offered him Kington for I knew this will work in sya Allah. Kington is just alike out own plasma. In fact it was once used as blood to heal wounded war victim.

He was well the next day and repeated blood investigation revealed that his platelet level had rose to 59,000 and he was discharged then.
Repeated platelet count on the fourth day after consuming 3 ampoules of Kington a day was great. Yes platelet count was already 126,000. What a miracle! He has ITP which was diagnosed a few years back and guess what! His usual platelet count is only 40,000!!!
ITP is a disease whereby the body develop antibody towards his/her own platelet. Therefore the patient tend to bruise and bleed easily. Some of them will be very pale and therefore require blood transfusion.Instead of taking steroid which has a lot of side effects he could enjoy live happily.

A happy face
